Air from the compressor contains water, oil and particles, and its pressure varies. Air preparation units fitted at each machine clean the air (filter), set a steady pressure (regulator) and, where needed, add fine oil mist (lubricator). Together they are called an FRL unit.
Match the port size to your machine's air inlet, check the flow your machine needs, and decide whether your valves and cylinders need lubrication. Many modern components are pre-lubricated and need only a filter-regulator.
