A Mercury male elbow is a 90° fitting: one leg carries a male thread that screws into a port, and the other is a push-in socket for PU tube, set at a right angle to the thread. Once tightened, the body typically swivels freely, so you can rotate the tube outlet to whichever direction the layout actually needs — without having to plan the thread orientation in advance.
